Abstrakti
In this article, we explore busking at London’s South Bank during summer 2012. The aim of the article
is to chart the different praxes of busking in London, and the official and unofficial acoustic regulation
involved in it. As data, we use interviews of buskers and soundscape observation. We discuss soundscape
regulation during the 2012 Olympics and bring forth an understanding of busking as a multifaceted and
cosmopolitan agency in the urban environment.
